How do you keep the energy?
Even with high crit hits going the luck of getting the energy seems to going bad
i even tried being part mesmer to use of the one signet, but it takes 90 sec recharge
it just seems kinda energy lacking around 25 energy is good for getting out a combo, but if u get even slightly e denialed your screwed
anyone found an effective way to keep the energy going? i tried other classes but i think expertise helped but i still think i ran outta energy
energy storage with an ele might work idk
but yea its good for some swift hits but like the ritualist it doesnt seem to hold up as well as the other primary classes

Jesus. One class comes out that can't sustain infinite activity and people jump on it all over the place as worthless.
People. Assassins aren't meant to reserve energy unto oblivion and sustain an infinite damage stream. They are, at least as Dagger masters, meant to blow most or all of their reserves in a single devastating combination attack and then bug out. And even then, a well-built Assassin can run through its skill stream three or four times before it runs dry.
You want an endless stream of attacks, play a Warrior or Ranger. You want a handful of over-the-top knockout blows, play an Assassin. Sure, you have to wait some, but a proper build, and a properly built team, will love you for it.

I never had problems when I had access to a zealous dagger upgrade, but they are locked right now. Try it out again when you can use the zealous mod, and you should find that energy is not much of a problem.
Or, if it continues, use cheaper skills

alright ill try it =) o and laser srry for starting ur anger off i know i made this as u posted on some other guys thread calling assisins useless =p
it must just be the skills i am using that drains my energy too much =(
*edit* lol my bad ealier i kept the defualt expertise it gave when i made the character, which wasnt high enough r/a seems to work fairly well, idk to me it seems more of a pvp thing cause in pve there is usually a lot of monsters that team u and you dont have aoe spells with a daggar

Zealous mods if you are using an ias stance thats 1 energy every 1 second the equivilant to having a total of 7pips of energy.
Critical eye worked wonderfully for energy last preview weekend, 3 energy for a critical hit 2 for a double strike with both crit eye and zealous mods.

There is a zealous dagger mod. I've seen zealous daggers before. They are probably going to be the most popular weapon mods on daggers. Also: I use my combo build almost continuously without energy problems. every single one of my skills costs 5 energy. The whole bar. 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, all 5 energy. and I dont need to use all of them in the same attack volley, so I can usually maintain around 10 energy always with 8+ crit. strikes and occaisional healing. You could also try the mesmer skill that steals energy for you, but that's not advisable because it leaves you vulnerable and its easily interrupted.

if you really want energy so much. E/A. full energy storage. You'll have plenty then. Otherwise, there's assassin armor(dont know the name, dont care) that will add +5 energy with all the pieces(i think?). 30 is infinitaley better than 25, as small as an increase as it may seem.
you could also stick to all 5 mana skills. I made a build(not sharing, its mine, no one elses) and the only skill I have higher than that is 15, but its not a big deal.
your final option is to use the lead attack(Golden Lotus Strike mayhap?) that gives you 10-12energy when dagger mastery is 16(i dunno which it is, i didnt get mine to 16) And considering your energy recharges all the while, you virtually regain that wasted 15 energy in no time at all, and you can continue attacking.
or you can put suggestions one and three together. but i dont think you'd need to with 80 energy.

I ran a R/A with 9 expertise and rarely had a problem with energy. My worst problem was that I couldn't always keep Apply poison on.

To keep the name. Your character won't be deleted, just reset to as if rolled on the first day of Factions-for-real.
On topic, energy management is a crucial consideration for every build for every character, the assassin is no different. Personally I didn't have too many problems having enough energy to land a chain by the time it recharged (or a couple of seconds after).
A basic rule for the Assassin is to make sure your planned attack chain doesn't cost more than your max energy. Then, if you don't manage to recharge your energy before your skills come back, add Critical Eye. No point trying to take another skill instead of it if you don't have the energy to use it, and it really does make a difference.

eople really underestimate the energy potential of the Critical Strikes line. If you can afford to punt it up to 13 points, that's 3 Energy for every critical you get. Combine that with Critical Eye and suddenly your 5e skills that critical are pretty much paying for themselves. Guaranteed stuff like Wild Blow and Critical Strike (the dual. Which needs a new name) will automatically net you that large amount. That and Critical Strikes has a good number of excellent skills in it as well - see my One Woman Bloodstorm for a nice Critical Strikes-centric build that works.
Even at 8+ though, you're gaining two extra Energy a critical, and let's not forget that critical hits also boost the Assassin's damage output. Combine it with Critical Eye and a most-likely-maxed weapon mastery and you've got an obscene chance for critical hits, well over half considering the number of them I got during the FPE using my Assassins. Trust me, an Assassinm does just fine with energy management in the handsa of an intelligent player. It's just not as cut-and-dried as something like Expertise or Energy Storage is.
